Raiding the Seas for a Great Cause

At the end of March, the U11 Pirates came together to support their local community. Sometimes, the work of building a great team doesn’t always happen on the field. Each player collected cans for the Catholic Charities Food Pantry in Kingston, to restock their shelves. The team came together on March 31 to bring their donations to the pantry. Guided by Coach Nelson, they had the opportunity to learn how their donations assisted those in the community who utilize the food pantry.
“It was a great learning experience for the kids to see how a simple act of kindness can have a great impact on their local community,” said team manager Sarah Yonnetti.
